Don’t head to a festival until you’ve read this…

Oh how we love a good festival. Carefree, hedonistic and yes, muddy, there’s not much that beats the feeling of spending a weekend lolling from tent and teepee to stage, Pimms-infused and relaxed, high on good vibes and intoxicated by the atmosphere. Whether you’re a hardcore Glasto goer, a V-fest fan or love yourself a bit of Port Eliot literary action, we’re an undeniably up-fer-it nation of festival lovers. Our friends across the pond may have their fabulous Coachella, and yes a 2-week long festival dedicated to beer is pretty awesome, but in the UK we do festivals sooo much better than anyone else. So with festival season upon us – yey – we’ve put together our definitive list of must-take products that are practically a requirement when heading to a festival this summer. Multi-tasking, hard-working and nifty, whichever festival you’re heading to, don’t leave home without them.

Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals Self Tan Bronzing Minerals, £35

What a clever little product this is. Not only does this bronzing powder leave you looking healthy, tanned and glowing with a few swishes of your oversized brush, it contains a magic ingredient that actually (fake) tans the skin: so when you take your make up off the tan stays. So if you're heading to a three-day festival and don't want to return looking worse-for-wear then take this mineral powder away with you and you’ll come back looking radiant. Hangover? What hangover?

In Your Dreams Iridescent Electra Face Gems, £6.50

Festivals are the ONLY time we will wear anything remotely sparkly on our face (nope, not even at Christmas) but while glitter is all fun and games during day two of Secret Garden Party, finding it in our hair, knickers and on the cat for the next three months isn’t. We’re getting our sparkle on the clean way with these pretty little gems: cute shiny stones in different shapes and sizes that make us feel fifteen again. That’s a good thing by the way.

Bloomtown Roll-on Infused Oil, The Rose Garden, £4.80

A good multi-tasking product is your festival bestie. This roll-on perfume is dinky enough to keep in your bum bag and its delicious scent (think English country rose garden) will mask any unpleasant odours following two days without a shower (no one is judging.) The oil-based formula makes the scent last longer (bonus) and makes this a great little multi-use product: the oil doubles up as a moisturizer for dry skin (shins, elbows and hands), adds a glow to collarbones and limbs and will even smooth the ends of your hair - no serum, no problem.

Percy & Reed No Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo, £12

Dry shampoo needs introduction and no explanation. Mop up the grease, clean up your locks and make your hair swishy, glossy and bouncy with this product that was (probably) created with festivals in mind.

First Aid Beauty Caffeine Matcha Wake Up Face Wipes, £12

Pretty pricey for face wipes we admit, but with the addition of Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera and Vitamin C we feel we can skip the moisturizer and serum when we travel anywhere with these. Great for removing make up, grime and sweat at the end of a day’s partying, these will leave you feeling refreshed and energized. Plus the hint of caffeine keeps us perky while the added Matcha makes us feel a little bit virtuous, when we’re actually being anything but.
