In The Beauty Cupboard With... Really Ree
Ladies, say hello to the really amazing Really Ree: real name Anne-Marie Lodge and your November Roccabox curator. As the brains behind the UK's biggest beauty blog, we know she needs no introduction, but we simply couldn't resist! In her own words, Ree's blog is about 'keeping it real for ordinary people'
Current lust-have?
My most luxurious must have right now is quite a splurge. I am obsessed with La Mer Renewal Oil and I’m now on my 2nd bottle! It’s so good. It is so calming, soothing, hydrating, smoothing and firming and it even tackles the patches of eczema I sometimes get on my hairline. It’s the ultimate glow-giver and it’s amazing on the tops of cheekbones or lightly pressed all over the face to bring your makeup back to life.
Current must-have?
I am totally obsessing over the Stylpro Makeup Brush Cleaner & Dryer. I have been aware of it for ages, but I never thought it would actually work! I got the Rose Gold edition to feature and I’m literally obsessed with it. My foundation brushes have never been cleaner!
Beauty muse?
I am kind of obsessed with Rihanna again. And I love her take on beauty with the Fenty launch. She has the most beautiful juicy plump skin that glows for days. Love her.
First ever make-up item:
My first makeup item that I bought over and over again was the YSL Touch Éclat gold pen. I remember once Superdrug had a massive deal on them and I bought four at once! It is still in my beauty arsenal today. I love the limited editions.
Skin-deep beauty tip:
I always use a hydrating serum, and I also love to mix serums or a drop of oil into foundation to boost glow and nourishment.
I’ll never buy in to…
Straight hair! I never say never, but I am absolutely obsessed with waving my hair and rarely wear my hair straight these days. It doesn’t feel like me without a bit of movement in my hair.
I’m most excited by…
Anything brand new! New beauty launches are what keep me going. I love writing about newness - it’s like an addiction. If I am the first person to write about it, it makes me even more excited!
